American Calibration provides services to accurately measure high temperatures required in furnace and oven applications. This field, known as pyrometry, is critical to ensuring materials behave as designed. Heat treating metals, for instance, is required to deliver expected properties, and we are the experts to help with your aerospace, food and beverage, heat treating, pharmaceutical and other requirements. Our team monitors your furnaces (heat treating, vacuum, tempering, annealing, stress relief) ovens (curing, drying, food processing, baking) and autoclaves.
We conduct temperature uniformity surveys (TUS) and instrument calibrations with certified test equipment and thermocouples, providing data that conforms with ISO, TS16949, SAE AMS 2750G, and NADCAP requirements. We work with you to determine the specific measurements and test points that you require to meet those standards. These include a time series of multiple temperature readings within an oven or furnace, including statistical data to determine variability.
American Calibration will also perform system accuracy tests (SAT), testing each probe in your oven next to our calibrated probes to validate the readings your equipment is reporting.
